inmeai Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

inmeai is the operator of the AI companion chat available at inme.run. Where this policy says "we", "us" or "inmeai", it means that operator, acting as the controller of the personal data described below.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the inmeai website, the chat interface, the billing flow and any email we send you. It does not cover independent websites you reach by clicking a link that leaves inmeai.

3. Age requirement

inmeai is for adults aged 18 or over, or the higher age of majority where you live. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we close it and erase the associated data.

4. Account data

To create an inmeai account we need an email address and a password hash. A display name and a country are optional. We do not ask for your legal name, address or phone number.

5. Conversation data

Messages you send to an inmeai companion, and the replies she sends, are stored against your account so the thread is there when you return. Nobody browses these conversations for entertainment, and they are never published.

6. Companion memory

inmeai extracts short factual notes from a chat — a name, a pet, a plan for the weekend — so a companion can refer back to them. You can view, edit or clear these notes in the chat settings at any point.

7. Technical data

Our servers record the usual technical details of a request: IP address, browser and operating system, timestamps and error traces. These are used for security, fraud prevention and debugging.

8. Cookies and local storage

inmeai sets a session cookie to keep you signed in and uses local storage for interface preferences such as language and theme. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Analytics

We measure aggregate usage — page views, feature adoption, error rates — in a form that is not tied back to an individual conversation. Analytics are never used to profile you for advertising.

10. Payment information

Card details are entered with a licensed payment processor and never reach inmeai servers. We receive only a token, the last four digits, the card brand and the outcome of the charge.

11. Why we process data

To run the chat, keep your history available, apply your plan limits, prevent abuse, meet accounting duties and answer support requests. Nothing is collected "just in case".

12. Legal bases

Depending on the item, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning service, compliance with a legal obligation, or your consent where consent is the correct basis.

13. Service providers

We work with hosting, storage, email delivery, payment and model-inference providers. Each is bound by a written processing agreement and may use the data only to deliver its service to inmeai.

14. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where that happens outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

15. Retention periods

Conversations stay until you delete them or for 24 months after your last sign-in, whichever comes first. Security logs are kept up to 12 months. Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires.

16. Security measures

Traffic is encrypted in transit, stored data is encrypted at rest, access to production systems is limited to named staff with multi-factor authentication, and privileged actions are logged.

17. Deleting a conversation

Deleting a thread inside inmeai removes it and the memory notes drawn from it. Backups are rotated within 30 days, after which no copy remains.

18. Deleting an account

You can close your inmeai account from the settings screen. Closure erases your profile, every conversation and every memory note, apart from billing records we are legally obliged to keep.

19. Your rights

Subject to local law you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.

20. Exercising your rights

Write to the contact address below from the email on the account. We reply within 30 days and may ask a single question to confirm it is really you.

21. Marketing messages

Service emails such as receipts and security alerts are part of the account. Anything promotional is opt-in and every promotional email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

22. Automated processing

Replies inside inmeai are generated automatically, and automated checks flag suspected fraud or prohibited content. No automated decision produces a legal effect on you, and enforcement decisions are reviewed by a person.

23. Model training

Your private conversations are not used to train general-purpose models by default. If we ever ask to use a specific excerpt for quality work, it will be an explicit, revocable opt-in.

24. Sensitive content

Please avoid sending medical, financial, biometric or government identity details to a companion. inmeai has no use for them and we would rather not hold them at all.

25. Third-party links

Some pages link to services we do not operate. Once you leave inmeai, the privacy policy of that destination applies and we cannot answer for its practices.

26. Data breach handling

If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk we notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware and tell affected users what happened and what to do.

27. Children's data

inmeai does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Reports of an underage account are actioned immediately and the data is destroyed.

28. Changes to this policy

When something material changes we update the date at the top of the page and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email before the new version takes effect.

29. Complaints

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the data protection authority of your country of residence. We would appreciate the chance to fix it first.
